Installation of mechanical seal of slurry pump
1. Check whether the model and specification of the mechanical seal installed are correct.
2. Check whether the dimensional accuracy, geometric accuracy and mutual relationship of the parts associated with the installation of the slurry pump and mechanical seal meet the technical requirements. There are mainly the following aspects:
(1) Install the radial runout tolerance of the shaft (or sleeve) in the mechanical seal part, the surface finish of the shaft (or sleeve) and the outer diameter dimension tolerance.
(2) The sealing cavity and gland are combined with the positioning end facing the shaft (or sleeve) centerline perpendicularity tolerance.
(3) Install the end of the shaft (or sleeve) of the moving ring seal ring, and install the chamfer and finish of the end structure of the shell hole of the mechanical seal.
(4) The axial displacement of the rotating shaft of the mechanical seal when it is working.
3. During the installation of the mechanical seal, it should be kept clean, and it is not allowed to knock the sealing elements with tools to prevent damage and destruction.
4. When installing, the surface of the dynamic and static rings should be coated with a layer of clean oil and turbine oil. Auxiliary seals (including dynamic ring seals and static ring seals) should also be coated with a clean layer of oil or turbine oil before installation to ensure smooth installation.
5, the static ring seal trap in the back of the static ring, into the seal end cover, pay attention to not hurt the static ring end face, to ensure that the static ring end face and the center line of the end cover vertical, and pay attention to the static ring back anti-rotation slot to align with the anti-rotation pin, but can not contact.
6. The rotating part of the mechanical seal is fixed by the two fixing screws on the spring seat and the shaft. When tightening the fixing screws, the working length of the spring should be ensured.
The use of mechanical seals for slurry pumps
1. Before the slurry pump starts, it is necessary to check the attached device of the mechanical seal and whether the cooling and lubrication system is perfect and smooth.
2. The material pipeline should be cleaned before starting to prevent rust impurities from entering the sealed cavity.
3, hand drive the coupling, check whether the shaft is easy to rotate, if the disk is very heavy, check whether the installation size is correct.
4, before normal driving, it is necessary to carry out static pressure test to check the sealing effect of the end face of the mechanical seal, the sealing ring and the sealing end cap. If there is any problem, check and solve it one by one.
5. Before starting the slurry pump, the sealing cavity should be filled with liquid or sealed medium. If a separate sealing system should be started, the cooling water system should also start circulating.
6, before normal use, first carry out atmospheric pressure operation, observe whether the temperature rise of the sealing part is normal, whether there is leakage phenomenon. If there is a slight leak, you can run for a period of time to make the end face fit more evenly, until the leakage is gradually reduced to normal. If the operation for 1-3 hours, the leakage is still not reduced, you need to stop for inspection.
7, normal operating conditions, pressure and heating can be slowly carried out, and pay attention to the temperature rise and leakage of the end surface, if everything is normal, it can be put into production.
When stopping, the slurry pump should be stopped first, and then the cooling lubrication system should be stopped.
